Simple application and optimum protection

Longevity for young and classic cars is our strength

Anyone who has ever had the opportunity to drive an old vehicle knows the leap into another world. Life is more tranquil here, the technology more direct. You can feel the mechanics working beneath you and listen to the noises. Perhaps you feel the same way. This beautiful old world should stay with you for as long as possible. The engine and vehicle should have a long life. That is the reason why we took over Otto Mathé's ingenious lubricant technology over 30 years ago. 70 years of experience in the development of lubricants and additives give you the security of quality products.

The most frequently asked questions about the application in classic cars

MATHÉ Classic engine oil additive is particularly suitable for engines that are run with slightly thicker oils. Older engines were not manufactured with the precision and gap dimensions of modern engines. The thicker oil counteracts increased oil consumption. Another major advantage is the Excellent corrosion protectionwhich also protects the engine from surface corrosion on the inside outside of the season. It goes without saying that your engine is protected by the improved lubricating effect of MATHÉ Classic engine oil additive also optimally protected against further wear.

The MATHÉ Classic engine oil additive can demonstrate two of its properties particularly well in restored or overhauled engines: minimizing wear and preventing deposits. The engine remains clean right from the start and the oil channels remain free of deposits. This ensures optimum oil flow to all lubricated components inside the engine.

MATHÉ Classic fuel additive (stabilizer) protects the fuel-carrying components, such as the fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel pump, injection nozzles and carburettor. The intake and exhaust valves are also protected from contamination and deposits due to improved fuel combustion. Furthermore, the MATHÉ Classic fuel stabilizer keeps the fuel ignition-stable. This ensures a problem-free start after the long standstill period in winter.

To eliminate the so-called "rear axle whine", the old rear axle oil is drained and replaced with fresh oil + 30% MATHÉ Classic transmission oil additive. After approx. 1,500 km of running-in time, the noise should be noticeably reduced and the wear gap between the tooth flanks should be equalized by increasing the compressive strength of the rear axle oil.

In engines, gearboxes, steering aids, hydraulic systems, injection pumps, turbochargers, differentials, turbines, compressors, fuel systems and in many other applications where optimum lubrication, cleaning, care and protection are required.
