MATHÉ Classic is an engine oil additive that has been specially developed for classic and vintage cars and is used for optimum bridging of long downtimes. By adding MATHÉ Classic to engine oil significantly increases the operational reliability of vintage and classic car engines and ensures long-term protection of the machine.
Due to many years of successful use in racing machines MATHÉ Classic as a representative of the latest additive technology. Its active ingredients have been specially formulated for engines in pre-war classic cars and engines in classic and vintage cars from 1950 to 1970.
MATHÉ Classic is free of solids and can be used in all engine oils of viscosity classes SAE 30 to 40.

Dosage
For normal use
10% Mathé Classic engine oil additive to the engine oil under normal loads.
Example: Total engine filling quantity 4.0 l: 3.6 l engine oil according to manufacturer's specifications + 0.4 l Mathé Classic
For heavy use
20% Mathé Classic engine oil additive for engine oil with above-average loads (e.g. high loads under racing conditions)
Example: Total engine filling quantity 4.0 l = 3.2 l engine oil according to manufacturer's specifications + 0.8 l Mathé Classic
For problems with the engine*
25% Mathé Classic engine oil additive for engine oil in the event of strong vibrations and excessive engine noise.
Example: Motor-Gesamtfüllmenge 4,0 l = 3,0 l Motorenöl nach Herstellervorgabe + 1,0 l Mathé Classic
* e.g. strong rattling noises, uneven engine running, poor starting behavior, loss of compression
The dosing instructions must be observed.
Application
A cleaning phase should be carried out on vintage and classic car engines with a mileage of more than 20,000 km.
To do this, drain 10% of the filling quantity from the old engine oil and fill the removed quantity with Mathé Classic again. Change the old engine oil after 500 km to 700 km, if possible while warm.
After draining, fill the engine with a mixing ratio of at least 10% Mathé Classic und 90% Motorenöl nach Herstellervorgabe. (Bei 4,0 l Füllmenge: 3,6 l Motorenöl nach Herstellervorgabe + 0,4 l Mathé Classic)
