Description
SAE 15W-40 is a universal engine oil that is catalytic converter and turbo-tested. It can be used in all diesel and gasoline engines of commercial vehicles and passenger cars in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. Typical areas of application are Commercial vehicles in local and long-distance transportation, buses and coaches in touring and urban traffic as well as construction machinery of all kinds.
SAE 15W-40 also fulfills specific requirements for use in certain vehicle transmissions. Depending on the engine design and operating conditions, long oil change intervals can be achieved. The regulations of the engine manufacturer must be observed.
Thanks to its highly refined base oils, the SAE 15W-40 can be used universally and all year round in vehicle and equipment fleets, even with passenger cars, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The viscosity range SAE 15W-40 ensures an easy start down to -15°C thanks to its favorable cold flow properties.
The addition of MATHY-M engine oil additive you can use the SAE 15W-40 oil to improve its wear-reducing and corrosion-inhibiting effect.
